Cruise on the Thames

When we did the Hop on/Hop off bus, we realized that our ticket was good for a half-hour cruise on the Thames and we decided that the day we do the Tower of London tour would be a good day to follow up with the Thames boat cruise. The dock was only a very short walk away from the Tower. And on the walk from the Tower to the boat dock, we got a nice close up of the Tower bridge.

The boat dock. That's not our cruise boat.

The Tower bridge is really impressive

The Globe Theater! If we ever go back, this is on our to-see list!

After the cruise dropped us off by Big Ben, we still had some time to wander around, and I wanted to back to the National Gallery.
The full Bronzino painting with the Monty Python foot.

I just like these colors

on the way home, I saw this poster in the Underground station. I WISH WE COULD HAVE GONE TO THIS! I LOVE Sybil Fawlty!

You know, I really really really like the transit system in London.

Can you guess which station?

We decided to try the KPH pub (the one that owns our hotel room and is right below our room) for dinner. I had this beef and veg dish that came with a SO SO SO YUMMY Yorkshire pudding!
Yes, that is a big cabbage wedge. It was all so good.

Jim got chicken

I got little profiteroles for dessert. I love cream-filled carbs with chocolate sauce.

And Jim got the KPH version of sticky toffee pudding. He ended up having sticky toffee pudding many times over the course of our trip. It's his new favorite. That white blob kinda looks like mashed potatoes, but it was ice cream!

All your trip food looks so good! And too bad about not seeing the Fawlty Towers show.
