Tales of a Shoebox Princess

We were up early enough to watch our approach to Puerto Rico The weather got kind of moody as we were getting closer We'll be going to this fort later in the day   Old San Juan Our ship we're ready for our excursion! We disembarked, walked down the pier and onto the street just off the dock. We met up with the tour group and waited for everyone to assemble. This is the day we saw the most things and took the most pictures. I'll be breaking this day up into at least 2 posts because there was so much I want to remember.  Christmas decorations feature poinsettias This was my favorite sculpture/statue of the trip. Today was a day to sit around and do nothing. So that's what we did. Our steward left us towel animals!  I keep forgetting that it's Christmas time. Luckily there were Christmas trees to remind me. I can hardly believe that I can just sit on our balcony and look at the ocean all day long if I want.   What a nice sunset! Food available any time on the Lido deck Happily waiting for the Star Wars trivia game to start Is it gonna be difficult or easy? It was mostly easy (for me). The only question I got wrong was Finn's stormtrooper number. I had narrowed it down to 2 choices (multiple choice trivia) and chose wrong. There were 2 or three groups of fan bois who got the answer right. They had to do a tie-breaker. just look at that yumminess! creme brulee!  This is the best dessert on the ship. Karaoke! Tim actually sang! Remember, it is still Christmastime.

First full day of the cruise and we already have a stop. Since we've never been here at the Princess Cay, we wanted to go ashore to be able to say "yeah, we've been there." We didn't have a specific time to be there so we took our time getting up in the morning. The tender that gets us from the ship to the island. I think there were at least three operating at a time. They were calling people by group to board the tenders. Gotta go sit on that beach there. but first, some ship exploration. The dome thingy. We never did do much in the dome, but it looks very nice and relaxing what with the chaises and all.
