MOMA

After meeting Lady Liberty, we went back to NYC for the day. I wanted to go to MOMA and see Starry Night.

Jim was excited to drive through Holland Tunnel. I was having a small anxiety attack because all the traffic (even though I wasn't driving).

This is what the inside of the Holland Tunnel looks like.

We had to take a picture of the Empire State building

We went in here and walked around for a bit. We were looking for a bagel place and Google sent us in here. We finally did fine a bagel shop in the basement and yes, my bagel was delicious! They put a lot of whipped cream cheese on it so I had messy fingers. I forgot to take a picture because I was trying to eat a huge messy bagel, follow Jim, and I was worried about getting to MOMA on time.

First sign of art at MOMA. My first impression is "Hey, a blue Darth Vader."

There it is!

This seems cataclysmic or apocalyptic or nightmarish, but very engaging

I like this silly rooster. It needs to be made into a giant metal sculpture. I just wanted to yell BOCK

Giant tissue with two goth kids and an ox in a robe. I wonder what the story is behind this.

It's ALL tree. Nature fills up the painting, just like it fills up the world. Any little foothold humans have made is hard won, but only temporary.

I haven't figured out what it is about Klimt paintings that I like, perhaps it's the human emotion and relationships

I love blue green and white in Van gogh's work.

I seen it!
I had to take this picture from behind groups of people who would not move to let others have a chance to get a look close up. Kind of like in London when I was looking at Van Gogh's Sunflowers--there is probably always a crowd.

After MOMA, we found Rockefeller Plaza and here I am, looking like I have a crown of branches and a building growing out of my head (and 2 pairs of glasses because I am THAT kind of fashionable--I was channeling the We Do Not Care club before I'd even heard of it)

I bought way too many chocolates at that red windowed store.

The Chrysler building

this is the actual picture I got of the state line. I'm such a photographer.
