Princess Diana memorial playground

Thursday morning, Jim and Hayley took off for Liverpool, something about some popular music group from the 60s. Fine, go worship at the feet of songs written so very many years ago... Christian and Jackson took off for Portsmouth to look at seafaring vessels. So Katie and I had charge of the girlies. Since we were right across the street from Kensington Gardens, Princess Diana memorial playground, we thought it would be nice to let the girls spend some time playing rather than sightseeing.

The Princess Diana playground does not disappoint!!! Adults are only allowed in with kids, and kids are only allowed in with a supervising adult. This is a great policy because there aren't any unsupervised teenagers making trouble and hogging equipment. The playground is very large! And it's sectioned off so that the large space isn't overwhelming.

Emma and Caroline with their new stationery purchased that very morning on our way to search for a particular snack that Katie was told she had to get. I can't resist paper and pens!

This is a wonderful playground! The wooden ship in the middle of the playground is so much fun!

Some little British girls showed Emma how to climb up to the top of the play structure. I think it took her a little while to figure out how to get down.

Caroline spent a few minutes roping several children into playing ship in a storm. She ran around telling everyone that a storm was coming. She is a friendly little girl with an imagination!

I cannot say enough good about this playground! It is AMAZING.

Caroline is happy to be playing

One of the sections of the playground has tiny houses. Caroline tried to get me to sit with her in the house, but there is no way I would fit in that door.

Abbie had Grey Bunny sit with her in the house.

And then I think Abbie left Grey Bunny there. After we were done at the playground, we had a hot dog lunch outside the playground, and as we were finishing up, we realized that Grey Bunny was not in Caroline's possession. Katie ran back into the playground and fortunately, Gray Bunny was in the little tiny house. Thank goodness nobody took Grey Bunny!
