The waterfalls are really called Nugget Falls, which led to us calling it Nuggie Falls, and then because of "chicky tendies" being "chicky nuggies," we called it Tendie Falls. Because we are infants.

Such a nice little mile walk |
Needs more benches though so one can sit and stare at the snow covered mountains (and rest one's weary back and knees, especially if one is old) |

Hayley saying "leedleleedleleedle" and Katie posing nicely in her poncho |

Everything was nice and mossy and wet |
We are getting closer to the falls |
What a nice feature that there is a big viewing area just to look at the falls! It just needs a chair for me to sit on. |

Leetle teeny tiny iceberg |

The glacier looks so far away |
But with zoom capabilities, it's right there! |

Tendie Falls. The walk back to the nature center was wet. Hayley ran up ahead, and I very slowly made my way back with Katie. I had to sit a couple of times, and I was very glad to have been wearing water resistant pants. I never did feel wet on my skin, even though I sat on wet rocks and it was raining. We got back to the center, hoping for food, but there was none. We used the bathroom and then found the bus stop to wait for the ride back to the ship. The crowds were thick, but we found a ledge to sit on. |

Our dinner is going to be....? |
The line was long but we moved fast. We chatted with people in line and I don't remember where they were from, but they were fun to interact with. When we finally got our order placed, the cashier asked for my name and state. |
Here we are waiting for crab! I was a bit shocked at the prices--a KFC style bucket of crab legs was well over $200! We didn't need that much so we opted for a combo that offered 14 oz of crab legs, 4 crabby patties, and some chowder for less than $50. I hoped it was enough. |
My best impression of a crab. I heard an employee call out Sara from Minnesota and I raised my hand. The server yelled Go Timberwolves! as he handed me the food. The Wolves were in the playoffs. |
crab cutting tool. I am still not sure exactly how to use it, but we managed to get crab meat, so whatever we did worked. |
crab cakes |
Chowder, biscuits and crab! My fear that it wouldn't be enough food was unfounded. There was plenty (and we had eaten on the ship just a couple hours before so we weren't STARVING) |
you have to do this with your crab legs |
I was able to extract some crab meat |

We made a mess |

Hayley borrowed my coat to wear. |

After dinner, we went to the Silent Rave-Disco on the ship. The activity people handed out headphones but we came prepared with our own earbuds/headphones and our own playlist. |
We danced to our playlist titled "Songs that make Christian upset". Someone offered us their headphones to use, but we said we were good and we had our own music. |
We danced for nearly an hour even though my legs were super tired from the walking at Mendenhall glacier. |
The lights on the water are pretty. One night Katie stayed up late and reported that it never got super dark, even into the wee hours, it being Alaska in the summer after all. |
