Floor Here 3: Floor is IN

Two and a half hours. That's all it took, including setting up of equipment, cutting, and chit-chat.

Here are my feet standing on the new floor. I think it went so fast because a) the guy knew what he was doing because he'd done it many times before and b) the boards are really wide.
Here is Jim standing on the new floor.
Here is the broom in the closet on the new floor.
This picture has nothing to do with the new floor. I post it as an idea of what to do with old unused stuffed animals.Upholster a chair with them. You can even consider it a museum piece, as apparently Matt has done, for in the middle of all the animals, I found this sign.

Your floor is lovely. I keep nagging Bud to put down hardwood in our family room and hallway. Having a contractor show up (on time even) and do the work is a dream!

Hooray! The floor looks beautiful. How excited the boys will be to see them. You must post pictures once all their crap, I mean useful items in there. Ha, ha, Matt is silly with his sign. He must really love one of those stuffed creatures. That's kind of sweet.
Katie, we will not be chucking the mirrors. Dad just took them out so that the floor would be installed easily. And no wood floors for you because, well, because you're the oldest. Sad to say, but housing improvements always happen after the oldest child moves out. Ask me and I'll tell you all the things that Grandma and Grandpa Olsen did to improve the house AFTER I moved out. Air conditioning for one...

Matt has fits when anyone suggests of storing or, heaven forbid, throwing away old stuffed animals.

WOW it looks so good! Isn't that wonderful. And nice to have it done in one day. Not happening here, but I'm being very patient and grateful that it is getting done at all.

The floor looks awesome!

I also like Matt's chair accents. Has he thought about a future in interior decorating? Or sign making?
